Welcome
💉 This site collects my research, theories, and observations about Bloodborne lore. It’s written in essay form so that I can keep things preserved outside of fleeting social media discourse.
️Themes of reproductive anatomy, transformation/body horror, transgender, period blood, child loss, dissection and repeated violation are discussed here. Proceed at your own risk.
🏛️ My theory on Bloodborne's origins based on a certain poem: read here.
Updates:
🧪 last updated: may 05, 2026
🧪 april 25, 2026 - Sorting and refining things. Right now everything is kind of a mess, and you'll find outdated things mixed even into newer essays, I'm sorry.
🧪 april 28, 2026 - Follow-up essay to the Cesearean Section in the works. Valtr's role, Ludwig's actual role and death. - DONE
🧪 april 29, 2026 - I will also map Gehrman's role to the heart, since he is a surgeon himself - DONE
🧪 may 01, 2026 - Going to explore Simon too - WIP
🧪 may 02, 2026 - More cleanup, individual organs examined - WIP
🧪 may 03, 2026 - Need a break for my mental health. IDK when I'll continue. Fandom toxic. Have to distance myself from that.
🧪 may 17, 2026 - I should revise some things (Ludwig operating and failing, not Brador), however, I might not get into it here because I just don't have the energy anymore to deal with this level of exposure. FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOURSELF YOU HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED. GOOD LUCK
⚗️ Please be aware that this is not a discussion space, it is a read-only personal lore speculation archive. Therefore, there is no way to contact me, sorry.
Important note: I'm not CharredThermos. But my views on Bloodborne are heavily influenced by his work and I'm thankful for his essays. They are a huge inspiration to me and a valuable piece of lore analysis in general.
Important note 2: YOU ARE LOOKING AT A DISSECTION. THIS MEANS THIS IS MESSY.
I avoid parroting common fanon claims whenever I become aware of them, instead I reconstruct what I'm directly perceiving from the game. This is why the structure of this is always in development, why older essays become outdated over time, and why some of the older ones may partially contradict newer ones. Please respect this when reading these texts.
I finally sorted the essays based on their age (somewhat) and clarity. "Legacy" ones can still be interesting reads, but contain a lot of outdated details that have meanwhile been revised and reinterpreted. Some of the currently untagged ones also require further review.
There's also some errors or bad phrasings that should be fixed here and there - please bear with me, I have limited spoons.
